Non-Royalty Variety Tags No Longer Available at Takao Nursery

Takao Nursery will no longer be restocking tags for non-royalty varieties. Many varieties are still available, however, once they have depleted their current inventory, they will no longer be offered. An exception does apply to all royalty items. Labels are mandatory and will be supplied for these varieties.

August 28, 2008 Vendor Freight Update

Syngenta

Beginning September 1, 2008, Syngenta is adding a 20% fuel surcharge [FSC] to invoices. This 20% FSC will apply to all cultivars, forms and modes of transportation. The 20% is additional to the cost of the freight. For example, if your freight is $1000, then the FSC will be $200.

Plug Connection

Plug Connection is adding fuel surcharges to both air freight & Federal Express shipments; their FSC is calculated using the published monthly FSC rates from Federal Express and the airlines. The FSC's for both freight methods are added to the freight cost only.

Selecta First Class

In June 2008, Selecta First Class also announced it would be adding an "Energy & Resource Surcharge of $0.007 per plant. However, they will be dropping their certification fee of $0.002 per plant. The total price increase per plant will be $0.005 (half a penny per plant).
